In recent years, Western society has been confronted with many issues related to racism and colonialism. Mons, like other cities in Belgium, has also been shaken by demonstrations and the destruction of statues. In order to understand the roots of these problems, the Mons Memorial Museum has teamed up with Pitcho, a young multi-faceted artist, to offer the public an exhibition that will put his texts to use in understanding colonial memory.

With this project, which looks at the question of the colonial memory of the inhabitants of the Mons region, the Mons Memorial Museum asserts its place as a museum of society and a space for reflection.
