From 21 October 2022 to 26 February 2023, La Boverie museum is presenting its exhibition: ‘The Rothschild collectors: Female patrons and donors par excellence.’ Designed in partnership with The Louvre, it introduces visitors to the world of the Rothschild family, in particular, the collections of certain women from the French side of the family. Through this exhibition, La Boverie is inaugurating its theme for 2022–2023 – collections – and renewing its partnership with The Louvre, which began in 2016 (En plein air in 2016 and Viva Roma! in 2018).

A showcase of contemporary creation and various cultural projects

A new figurehead of cultural dynamics in the Liège Metropolis, the Boverie Museum aims to become a showcase for contemporary creation and various cultural projects, as well as the richness of historical collections.

The artistic project of La Boverie thus offers both a program of international exhibitions and a new showcase for the permanent collections of the City of Liège.

The Louvre Museum, the City of Liège and the museum of La Boverie collaborate in the framework of an exceptional partnership and first of its kind in Europe.

The reception and mediation of vulnerable people (hard of hearing, visually impaired, etc.) is one of the most important spearheads of the museum, which wants to be open to everyone. Guided tours and mediation tools adapted to these target groups were developed by the mediation service. The museum is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility. Awakening and awareness of the arts are the core of the educational service’s concerns. The museum is a real place for experiments and offers direct contact with the artworks; it is also fertile ground for a unique experience of discoveries. Visits to the museum are offered to your classes from kindergarten to higher education, in the form of active tours or discovery workshops, in connection with the curricula of the different levels.
