Since April 2019, the tourist office has been providing tourists, 3 normal bicycles and 3 electric bicycles.

The tourism organisation recently awarded the “Bienvenue Vélo” label is located 150 meters from the ravel. You can therefore easily take a walk to discover the richness of the municipal heritage and the beauty of the countryside of our villages.

The tourist train

The small tourist train takes you to the battlefield to discover the strategic places and characteristic viewpoints of the plain where the battles of June 16, 1815 took place.

In addition, he can pick up school groups from Ligny station to take them on a “themed visit” organized by our tourist office (neighboring farms, Sombreffe castle, specialist companies, etc.).

For example, “discovery and tasting visits” are possible to local and specialized producers in our city. Finally, it is available for weddings, birthdays and other original activities.

Don’t wait any longer before getting on the little train to get to the surrounding countryside and see the panorama of the battle from a different angle!

Ligny 1815 Museum

The Ligny 1815 Museum took up residence in a 17th-century farmhouse that served as an infirmary on the night of the battle. It is located in the heart of the battlefield, where 150,000 men fought hard. The museum space projects you into a real experience by going back in time to Friday June 16, 1815, 48 hours before the Battle of Waterloo.
