A collection of locomotives, wagons and railway equipment and impressive series of fabulous witnesses to the history of the steam train… The museum, on the site of the old railway station of Treignes, is the terminus of the tourist railway line Mariembourg – Treignes. Cross the Viroin Valley by vintage train: an unforgettable experience in a beautiful landscape. Departures from the Rotunda of Mariembourg and possible stops in the charming stations of the valley. In the museum’s large warehouse, dream in front of the great locomotives aged 50 to a century old and restored with love on the spot. Discover the history of these machines from previous times.
Groups
Discover the 3 Vallées Steam Railway in the most original way and the combination of a journey and an authentic steam train and a visit to the museum which houses a large collection of locomotives. An excursion to live with family and associations, or during senior trips… We have at our disposal 2 “Bar / Restaurant”-carriages that can hold 70 seats, in wood dating from the 30s, staff on board and various possibilities of decoration. Different formulas are available: meals at a standstill or on the move, for lunch or dinner. Personalized aperitifs in the museum, guided tours available upon reservation, …

Have you ever traveled on a real steam train? Find out about these machines from a different time and discover our beautiful region. The Steam Train of the Three Valleys offers year-round tailor-made trips by steam train for large groups or in a panoramic diesel train for smaller classes. In the Steam train Museum students will have fun discovering these machines that require a lot of work to guarantee their operation and they will be able to attend the loading of the coal, the filling of the water tanks, the lubrication and the heating of the machine before departure.
People with specific needs
People with reduced mobility are welcome on the steam train. A carriage has been specially adapted for a safe journey from Mariembourg to Treignes. The museum is also open to everyone. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
