The Glass Museum of Charleroi presents Jean-Baptiste SIBERTIN-BLANC, a designer who gives voice to glass and combines it with other materials: wood, metal and composites.
Developing a design in which know-how regularly rubs shoulders with industry, Jean-Baptiste SIBERTIN-BLANC pursues his research as an architecture of the object, between sculpture and ergonomics. Designer for the Taller de Arquitectura Ricardo Bofill (1987-1991), then Creative Director of the DAUM Crystal Works (1999-2011), he created SAS Studio JBSB in 2012 to accompany great names in creation and design. He willingly shares his knowledge: professor at ESAD in Reims from 1993 to 1999, he continues teaching at Ensa in Nancy by creating the Research and Creation Workshop "the natures of glass" (2013) as part of the ARTEM campus, and coordinates the design for the ICN Master of Science, Design and Management of Luxury.
