A place of memory dedicated to the Second World War

Located close to the famous Mardasson Memorial, the Bastogne War Museum is a new memorial dedicated to the Second World War in Belgium.

It offers you a modern and interactive presentation of the causes, events and consequences of the Second World War, through the prism of the Battle of the Bulge.

Open since 2014, the Bastogne War Museum is an essential getaway in Wallonia and the province of Luxembourg. Visit this Center of Memory in the morning or afternoon (2 hours) to (re) discover World War II and the Battle of the Bulge.

Groups (from 20 persons) enjoy a preferential rate. The entrance costs 11 euros per person instead of the full rate at 14 euros.

LPersons with specific needs

Because the Bastogne War Museum is a leader in modernity, the entire route is accessible to people with reduced mobility. A wheelchair can be made available upon reservation.

JSchools

The Bastogne War Museum organises activities especially for schools and young people. These original themed tours are designed for you, the teachers and your students to make the most of your visit to the main memory center in the Belgian Ardennes. In combination with an interactive and modern journey, you will be able to discover these tragic aspects of our history in an original way. These activities are multidisciplinary in nature and can, of course, be part of the history course program, but also French and geography courses; possibly even denominational or secular ethics courses. Because these activities are also available in Dutch and English, modern language teachers can join if they wish. This global approach is a great opportunity to bring together different disciplines necessary for the training of your students, future players in the political and cultural world.

MCompanies

The setting of the Bastogne War Museum is also conducive to the organisation of various events both inside and outside the building (private parties, receptions, snacks, dinner cocktails, sit-down dinners, barbecues, etc.).

In addition to public order events, BWM’s infrastructure can be rented out for night parties and private events.

Almost 120 people have the opportunity to settle in the canteen. It offers direct access to an outdoor terrace with a view of the Mardasson monument. On sunny days this terrace can of course also be used in any way.

The cafeteria hall also has a small amphitheater and a projector. It communicates directly with the first room on the scenographic route. The services of a partner caterer of the Bastogne War Museum are of course available for all types of activities.
