A BEAUTIFUL AND EXCEPTIONAL PROPERTY WHERE ART, CULTURE AND NATURE ARE WORN TOGETHER!

Come spend an unforgettable moment in the largest museum of Wallonia! Fall under the charm of our natural and archaeological parc. At its heart, an architectural achievement invites you to a journey at the crossroads of time and cultures:  treasures from all over the world and of great civilisations intertwine with those of our own Hainaut province and Belgian history.

OGroups

The treasures of the Estate, the diversity of the permanent collections and of the temporary exhibitions and our partnerships give the opportunity to adult groups to spend a day in Mariemont and around.

You can stay a whole day in Mariemont by combining two visits (choice between different themes in the permanent collections, a temporary exhibition and historical discovery of the park) or by combining a visit and a workshop (possible themes: perfumes, tea, book…).

You can stay a whole day in the region by combining a visit in Mariemont and a visit to one of our partners: the St-Feuillien brewery (Le Roeulx), Seneffe Castle, le Bois-du-Cazier (mine site), the city of Nivelles or around, the “Centre de la Gravure” (La Louvière) or the “Maison de l’Imprimerie” (Thuin).

LPeople with special needs

Different visit programs were established to live up to the expectations of a public with disabilities. A direct contact between the institution staff and the Educational team of the Museum makes the adapted discovery of the Museum easier. The staff from the Educational team, from the reception and from the security were trained to specifically welcome disabled persons. A sensorial approach of the Museum and its collections was developed for visually or hearing impaired people. This is also the case for temporary exhibitions (on demand).
