Durbuy History & Art Museum (DHAM)

The Durbuy History & Art Museum is located in an old market hall named Halle aux Blés. This building was built in the 16th century and is categorized as extraordinary heritage of Wallonia. The Museum wants to promote Belgium art with its permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Currently, the permanent exhibition is mostly constituted by art work of Marcel Lucas, lend by the Marcel Lucas Foundation.

Marcel Lucas is a Belgian artist from the 20th century. He used the watercolour technique and became a master in the use of colours and light. In his career he painted many different subjects such as the city, zodiac signs and Saint Jacques de Compostelle. The Museum always wishes to expand his collection so our visitors can enjoy the work of others artists. Since the beginning of the Museum in 2017, visitors can discover temporary exhibitions about various themes and artists which valorise the richness of modern and contemporary art.
