A museum space entirely devoted to insects

Hexapoda, the Jean Leclercq Insectarium, is one of the largest insectariums in Europe and the only museum space solely dedicated to insects in Wallonia and Brussels. With its extensive collection of naturalised insects (6 million dead insects) as well as living species, the museum is open to visitors of all ages and takes them on a scientific and entertaining journey to discover the fascinating world of insects.

The visit continues outside with a flower garden of 2500 m2 and a site of 42 acres landscaped ecological trails.

Temporary exhibitions, activities (and courses) nature, training, conferences … are also available to the public, as family or school.

The Hexapoda Insectarium, unique in Wallonia, is an ideal excursion destination for group outings. You can share your discoveries of the fascinating insect world with our guide and explore the entomological garden (picnic area available on request) and the natural site.

The discovery of nature (and insects) is accessible to everyone and that is why you are very welcome. The majority of the museum is accessible to people with reduced mobility, just like the entomological garden. Parking spaces are also reserved at the entrance. Come and discover the fascinating world of insects through our museum and didactic and educational activities adapted to children of all ages (from 3 to 18 years). Also take advantage of our entomological garden and natural site to arouse the curiosity of the youngest, through activities suggested by our specialized animators.
