Striking face-to-face with Spyrou, the Man of Spy

Since 2011, a space dedicated to the Man of Spy is open in Onoz, not far from the Cave of Spy.

His career draws the portrait of the Neanderthal man, our distant cousin formerly portrayed as a bestial and violent being, now rehabilitated. Thanks to finely chosen pieces, the emotion is very much direct. In high point: the striking face-to-face with Spyrou, the Man of Spy reconstituted hyper-realistically.

From room to room, it is also the evolution of a discipline that can be guessed, from its groping beginnings (19th century) to the extreme minutia of current methods of analysis.

OGroups

Take a journey in time, in the footsteps of the Man of Spy. Different formulas are proposed: from a one-hour conference visit to activities of three or five hours, in collaboration with the Prehistoric Museum of Ramioul. Only on reservation!

JSchools

Throughout the year, the Center of the Man of Spy offers various forms of activities and tours for school groups, from the 2nd kindergarten! For 1 hour, 3 hours or 5 hours, the young participants immerse themselves in the ice age, in the footsteps of the Man of Spy. Participate with the animators of the Prehistoric Museum of Ramioul in a series of didactic workshops on Prehistory and Neanderthals. Combine with the Cap Sciences association an interactive tour of the course and a workshop on scientific experiments. With the Interpretation Center team, prepare the visit that best meets your expectations!
