250 works testify of 6 centuries of textile
The collections present at TAMAT reflect the diversity of the textile arts.
From 15th century old tapestries, remarkable heritage of the city of Tournai, through the post-war movement of “Forces Murales” and to the most contemporary works: more than 250 works testify to 6 centuries of textile.
TAMAT also houses research and experimentation workshops, a documentation and study center and a conservation and restoration workshop.

The guided visit allows you to approach all exhibited collections on a route that goes from the old Tournai tapestries from the 15th and 16th centuries to modern works and contemporary textile art. Specific visits on targeted thematic approaches reveal some unknown aspects of the proposed works. A way to discover the collections differently.
Contact the museum directly for more information.
