Treasure House of Liège Cathedral

Around the cloister of the cathedral, completely renovated and perfectly integrated, the Treasure of the Cathedral of Liège reveals an exceptional heritage of art and history of the former Principality of Liège: goldsmiths, ivories, manuscripts, sculptures, paintings and textile collections.

Discover 200 works on three levels around the cloister of the cathedral in ten thematic rooms.

« À la découverte du Trésor … » (6-12 years)
Discovery trip along large pieces from the former Principality of Liège.

« Pas-à-pas découvre les clochers liégeois » (8-16 years)
Starting from the Treasure, students will be able to discover and observe the lesser-known traces of the life of the people of Liège at the time.

« Chasse au Trésor » (8-14 years)
Rally game consisting of questions about the collections of the Treasure, the history of the cathedral and around the building.

« À la rencontre de saint Lambert » (12-18 years)
General visit to the museum focusing on important events in the history of the cité ardente.

Guided tours for groups in French, English, Dutch and German outside normal hours by reservation.

PSeniors

The Treasure offers a journey through the art and history of the Principality. It is therefore perfectly suitable for all target groups: we welcome visitors of all ages individually or in groups. Groups, whether school or not, can immerse themselves in the thousand-year history of our regions.

Reduced price (seniors, students): 5 €

An audio guide in 4 languages ​​(French, Dutch, German, English) is available.

Guided tours by History and Art History students are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM or by reservation for groups.

KFamilies

LPeople with specific needs

The Treasure is equipped with a lift that gives access to each floor. An elevator is available to the public to access the east wing of the museum.

Our facilities are therefore fully designed to welcome people with reduced mobility.

In addition, we also have a wheelchair that can be borrowed on request, as well as fifteen seat sticks.
