Stoombrouwerij van Pipaix

De laatste stoombrouwerij ter wereld, gevestigd in Pipaix in Henegouwen, produceert traditionele en natuurlijke ambachtelijke bieren, hergist in flessen en niet gepasteuriseerd met 19e-eeuwse apparatuur.
De oude brouwerij Biset, gesticht in 1785, werd in 1984 gekocht door Jean-Louis Dits en slechts twee maanden later weer tot leven gewekt! De knowhow om bier “à la vapeur” te brouwen is sindsdien bewaard gebleven. Verschillende ambachtelijke bieren worden nog verkocht. De meeste van de gebruikte uitrustingen en machines zijn uniek in België.

De Stoombrouwerij van Pipaix maakt sinds 2020 deel uit van het Waals beschermd erfgoed.
