House of Metallurgy and Industry of Liège (MMIL)

Discover the exceptional industrial heritage of Liège

The MMIL is a technical and industrial museum located in a former steel factory. On 2,500m², discover the exceptional industrial heritage of Liège.

Soak up the atmosphere of the Old Walloon Forge from the 17th and 18th centuries at the foot of the oldest blast furnace in the country (1693).

Throughout your journey, you will discover an impressive steam engine, the prototype of a Zénobe Gramme dynamo, the zinc bath offered by Dony to the Emperor Napoleon … some of our incredible treasures, among so many more …

In the company of a MMIL animator, you will continue to discover our heritage: you will join the thread of regional industrial history together to give meaning to the fantastic MMIL collections. The animation lasts about 2 hours and is adapted to the level of your group.
